The Herbin lightly scented writing inks are made with natural floral and fruit essences from Grasse, France – a Provencal town long revered as the perfume capital of the world. Free of pigments and artificial scents, they are safe to use in fountain pens and leave a delightful scent that lingers on the page for several days after writing. Violette is a purple ink with a violet scent.

The 30ml glass bottle has a square shape with a groove on top that can be used as a pen rest. These bottles are known as “D” bottles, which refers to the old French unit of measure “la Demi Courtine.”
